PROSALMONVERBS

If a salmon falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

A fool and his salmon are soon parted.

Home is where the salmon is.

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single salmon.

It's not worth crying over spilled salmon.

You can't teach an old salmon new tricks

A nod's as good as a wink to a blind salmon.

Make salmon not war.

A salmon saved is a salmon earned.

Salmon is as salmon does.

A salmon paints a thousand words.

Context

Being a senior, it's been a constant struggle to stay focused during the school day.  I'll look back to my notebook at the end of the hour to find that my doodle-to-notes ratio has taken a severe swing (90% doodles, 10% notes), and frankly, I don't really care.  I used GIMP to put a few of these doodles in the hallway.  I might add more later.

Photo #5: Shadow & Light

This week I was looking for opportunities to catch some interesting light effects.  I found the reflection in the ceiling of the school elevators were really interesting.  I also played around with a flashlight and a locket.  These are a few of the shots I got.

While I thought the pictures in the elevator turned out looking very cool, I don't think they were technically the best.  I like the space and the contrast in this photo.

Photo #4: Nature

I went to the pond right outside the school in hopes of getting some shots of the plant life.  Instead I ended up with a few awesome shots of the geese.  I used gimp to add some life to the photos--it was a grey and rainy day.

I love the water in this photo.  The ripples add an interesting effect.
